JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a data protection officer who wants an independent assignment with great responsibility.
The task is to ensure that personal data is handled in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant laws in the area. In this role, you will work for the municipalities of Hammarö, Kil, and Forshaga. Here, you will have the opportunity to truly influence our collective work moving forward.
You will be based in Hammarö and work flexibly between the three municipalities. You have significant responsibility for how you organize your work.
As a data protection officer, you will review and provide support and advice on data protection issues to the municipalities. This means that you will work independently and together with a network of data protection coordinators in each municipality. The role is strategic, advisory, and development-oriented.
You will, among other things:
- Follow up and review the work with GDPR and other applicable laws in the area
- Be the contact person for the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY)
- Support in data protection issues and assist in incident management
QUALIFICATIONS
For this position, we are looking for someone with an academic degree in law, information security, or another area deemed equivalent by the employer. You have good knowledge of data protection legislation and several years of experience working with data protection issues. Experience from the public sector, IT law, or insight into the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act is an advantage. A driver's license (B) and proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required.
As a person, you are relationship-building, communicative, and attentive. You can explain complex issues in an understandable way and enjoy working independently and in a structured manner. You are a confident person who collaborates well, has a clear drive, and does not hesitate to set demands when the situation requires it.
